Still deciding?
Not sure yet? That is fine.
You can change your mind. This shop's own returns policy gives you 15 days from delivery to send it back in its original packaging with proof of purchase, and we refund the price you paid for the goods.
If it turns up faulty, damaged or not as described, that is on us. The Australian Consumer Law covers you, we pay the return postage, and you can have a repair, a replacement or your money back. Read the full detail on our refunds and returns page, or ask us anything before you order.
A motion sensor in the lid picks up your hand and opens it. You do not touch the bin at all.
How far away does it sense your hand?
Close range, at the top of the bin. It is meant to react when you reach toward the lid rather than when you walk past it.
Does the lid slam shut?
No. The hinge was redesigned on this model for a precise open and a silent close.
Does it take batteries?
No. It has a USB port and recharges, so there are no batteries to buy or replace.
What cable does it use?
It charges over USB. The listing does not state the connector type, so check the box if that matters to you.
How long does a charge last?
The listing does not publish a runtime figure and we are not going to invent one. Ask us before you order and we will find out.
Can I use it while it is charging?
Yes. Charging does not stop the sensor working.
Does it hold the smell in?
The lid is designed to close firmly against the rim, which is what contains odours between emptying.
How big is it?
The listing describes it as space-efficient rather than giving a capacity, so it is built to hold as much as it can in a small footprint. We can measure one for you if you need the exact figure.
Will it fit beside a toilet?
That is what it is made for. The narrow footprint is the point of the design.
How do I change the bag?
There is a bag ring inside that holds the liner in place, and the bin is built so a full bag lifts out without fighting it.
Does it take a particular size of liner?
It takes an ordinary bathroom bin liner. The ring holds the top of the bag rather than clamping a specific size.
Can I clean the inside?
Yes. It pulls apart into two sections so you can get at the inside properly rather than reaching down into it.
Can I put it in water?
No. It has electronics and a battery in the lid, so wipe it rather than submerging it.
What is Advanced Seal technology?
It is the seal around the gearing that drives the lid, and it is there to stop moisture reaching the mechanism and corroding it. A bathroom is a damp place for a motor.
Will it work in a damp bathroom?
That is the environment it is built for, which is why the gearing is sealed.
Is it noisy?
The lid mechanism was redesigned for a silent close on this model.
Can I open it by hand if the battery is flat?
The lid is not locked, so it lifts. Charging it is the better answer, and the USB port is there so you can do that without hunting for batteries.
Does the lid stay open while I am using it?
It opens on motion and closes on its own afterwards, so you are not holding it.
What is it made of?
The listing does not state the material, so we are not going to guess. Ask us and we will check before you order.
Does it come assembled?
Yes. It arrives ready to use once it is charged.
Is there a warranty?
The consumer guarantees of the Australian Consumer Law apply to it, as they do to everything in this shop. If it fails, tell us.
How much is delivery?
Free on orders over $75. Below that it is a flat $27.50, and there is an express upgrade available on any order.
How long does delivery take?
5 to 7 days after a 24 to 48 hour handling time, anywhere in Australia.
Do you deliver outside the cities?
Yes. We deliver Australia wide.
Can I return it if I change my mind?
Ask us. Our published returns policy is on the Refunds and Returns page and the Australian Consumer Law guarantees sit on top of it.
Is the price GST inclusive?
Yes. Every price on this site includes GST.
Can I buy more than one?
Yes. Change the quantity in the cart.
Do you sell a matching toilet brush or holder?
Not at the moment. This shop stocks raised toilet seats, bidets, bathroom safety rails and a short list of accessories.
Who do I ask if my question is not here?
Email the team. There is a real person on the other end seven days a week.
